Special Recognition

Andreea Ghizila — Extraordinary Athlete, Scholar and Community Member. A member of the United States Sprint Canoe Junior and U23 World Championship Team, Andreea maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA at Juanita High School, scored 1,560 on the SAT, and contributed actively to the Romanian community in Seattle.

Highlights

Alexandru Trufinescu received the top national prize for sustained community service, establishing a Romanian language program in Washington state, two consecutive years of service in underserved areas of Romania, and his role as communications officer for the Romanian Honorary Consulate in Seattle.

Stefan and Victor Ene organized a photo exhibition in Romania titled “A Chapter of Romanian History in the Northwest of America – Queen Marie and Maryhill Museum of Art,” presenting over 40 photographs to an audience of over fifty on opening night in Sinaia.
